White Habanero (Capsicum chinense) is a pale cream-to-ivory variant of the habanero, thought to originate in Peru, where habanero-type peppers trace back to Amazonian origins before spreading through the Caribbean and Central America. The small, wrinkled pods maintain a white or very light yellow color at maturity and carry the characteristic fruity habanero flavor alongside extreme heat. They are used in hot sauces and salsas where a pale color and fiery kick are desired.
