Sugar Rush Peach is a Capsicum baccatum cultivar accidentally developed by Welsh grower Chris Fowler through open pollination among aji pepper plants, and later popularized by Baker Creek Heirloom Seeds. The long, tapered pods ripen to a soft peach-apricot color and offer an unusually sweet, tropical-fruit flavor with a building citrus-edged heat — a pairing uncommon in C. baccatum cultivars of this intensity. Plants are tall and prolific, bearing abundantly over a long season in warm conditions.
