Heat data: Verified · PepperScale

Filius Blue (Capsicum annuum) is a compact heirloom pepper from Mexico prized primarily as an ornamental, producing small upright pods that start a striking deep blue-purple and ripen through orange to red. The plants are very compact and bushy, making them well-suited for containers and patio growing. The pods are edible and moderately hot; heat decreases somewhat as fruits fully ripen, and they can be used in salsas and sauces or dried.
